COMES A Soldier’s Whisper is proud to share E.B. George’s story:
“My wife’s nephew, Matthew Ostrowski III served in Afghanistan as a combat medic with the US Army.
The ARMY saved him from the mean streets of Fresno, California. Matt served from 2006 to 2012. He had re-enlisted in 2010 and later received a medical discharge in 2012 after the FOB (Forward Operating Base) where he was based in Salerno Afghanistan was blown up by a homicide bomber, as the CIA operatives were in their chow hall.
I managed an urgent care clinic while Matt was deployed. Our clinic would send over care packages of goodies for the staff at his FOB. The medical staff treated lots of the locals, many of them children, and they would give candy to those kids.
Matt is pictured during the re-enlistment in 2010. He is also shown here with his daughter, Felicity and his father, Matt Ostrowski II.
He is a sensitive and emotional man and continues to be dedicated to emergency medicine. he is married to a lovely lady who is attending law school.
