My name is Timothy McCoy, and I served with the U.S. Army.
I began with the 1st Cavalry and signed up later with the 82nd Airborne Division. My nickname is Tee Mac with the Tee for Tim, and Mac is short for McCoy Many of my family members have served in the military. I started at Fort Bragg and then to Germany, back to Bragg and then a year in Kuwait (after the War) then back to Ft Hood.

From there, I went to Korea and later to Fort Hood and Italy with one year in Macedonia and another year in Germany. I was actually US Army from 1984-2010. This is a group picture of me and two of my brothers. My father, Hosery McCoy, Jr., was a True Warrior when he completed 3 tours in Vietnam. He was also in the Dominican Republic in 1965.
Here is a picture of me and my veteran daughter, who also served and was stationed in Alaska. She is discharged now and living in West Virginia. I retired from the Army while in Fort Drum in 2010. I now operate a mobile museum which has a name in each section after a soldier. But the displayed African American exhibits fall under the Hosery McCoy, Jr. Project to honor my father.
Dad taught me that a soldier will live forever, as long as he is remembered…
