Honoring Herb Griffin, 314th, 79th Division D-Day

jennysala Uncategorized 0 0

Herb Griffin recently turned 90 years young. As a special thank you for his service, we shipped him a copy of Comes A Soldier’s Whisper containing my father’s wartime letters written as a 101st Airborne paratrooper from 1943 to 1945. Herb was also a part of the Normandy Invasion, and fought all the way to the battle of St. Lo where he was seriously wounded and sent back to England. A BELGIAN WHO HONORS AND REMEMBERS

jennysala Uncategorized 0 0

I’m from Belgium. This picture was taken June 6, 2015 at Colleville Cemetery France ( Normandy ). I always wear this hat , most of the time for the 82nd Airborne, out of respect for those who served. This is the only veteran out of all the others visiting that I was unable to identify. If anyone knows this veteran, please step forward and advise. Thank you! ~ Koen Moentjens We honor veterans daily! www.JennyLasala.com
