‘FAST COMPANY’ MARGARITA ANYONE?

Thank you to our Dutch friend Bill William Rikkelman from Holland for sharing this story!

COMES A SOLDIER’S WHISPER HONORING OUR VETERANS ONE DAY AT A TIME …

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Larry Cano. Larry served in the U.S. Army Air Force Reserve, being activated for two tours of duty in Europe as a P-51 Mustang fighter pilot during World War II. After the war, Larry attended the University of Southern California. Shortly after his graduation, his unit was called to serve in the Korean War.

Upon his return, Larry started working in the restaurant business. He founded one of the first Mexican dinner restaurants, El Torito in California, and is also credited with the popularization of the margarita.

Larry passed away earlier this week at the age of 90. We honor his service.
