I returned home from Nam with PTSD after serving 607 days in country.
I have been told for years now that I resembled the actor, Ryan O’Neil. The resemblance is uncanny but then why did he make all the money and I went to Vietnam? Something ain’t right here.
I was with the Marine Corps and was attached to Echo Company, 2nd Bn., 5th Marine Regiment First Marine Division in 1966-68. There was one incident while we were patrolling the foothills north of An Hoa, where we were sprayed with Agent Orange accidentally in November 1967.
Without our wives’ support, I doubt any of us would have done well after we got home. My wife Bonnie has been my number one supporter, and my friend for going on 48 years now. I would not be here now if it wasn’t for her.
Thank you to all of the service men and women, past and present. The group picture shows the special men and one beautiful woman in my life.
I love you all so much, and I’m proud to call you my family!!
