It is said that the eyes
are the window to ones’ soul
and a window into the lives
of those who have lived
and passed before us
and missing them every day.
A 101st Airborne paratrooper’s life and letters during WWII in Comes A Soldier’s Whisper to his sweetheart whose letters and communication kept him going in battle. He would write, “I’m amazed at my life and body intact” after surviving D-Day, Carentan, Holland and the Battle of the Bulge. She later became his wife and my mother, David and Betty Tharp.
It’s all for you Mom and Dad, your generation and the soldiers of the NOW, veterans of today, their sweethearts and families to follow for generations to come.
At COMES A Soldier’s Whisper we are all connected.
