Where does one begin to express gratitude to those of you who serve and protect our country, both in times of war and peace?
The first thing that comes to mind, is that we Americans are able to live with our freedom and the peace of mind that follows, knowing that our homeland is protected by each and every one of you on a 24/7 basis. You risk your lives for your fellow man. You leave your lives behind and placed on hold, while you serve your country to protect your families, neighbors, people all throughout the United States, and neighboring allied countries as well.
My Father served during WW11 in the 101st Airborne Division as a radio communicator in regimental headquarters with the Five-O-Deuce. He returned a different man, as I am sure that all of you men and women will do the same. The war experience changes a person. And it will change you too. Although my Father has passed, he is with you in heart, soul and spirit. He rarely spoke of his war experiences and the atrocities witnessed, but always stressed the importance of keeping our armed forces strong. It is critical that you know our strength of support is behind your armor.
We wish to let you know, that we are here for you and will support any and all legislation to take care of your needs upon returning home.
We salute each and every one of you.
